There are sooooo many kilted men in that book, I can't wait to see them in the show
Have you seen the Kilt Blowing show that get done at Dragon Con? It's men in kilts + leaf blowers and it's as hilarious as you think
I've been meaning to read this series but being Scottish and a former student of Celtic studies, I have basically zero tolerance to outside portrayals of Scotland, especially those in a romance context. But I've been told this one's an exception to the och aye the noo rule plus the TV show's going to keep every Scottish actor currently working employed for a while.
I understand (Bavarians are usually not romanticised but more stupified in portrayals outside but I imagine the cringe-worthy feeling is somewhat similar)
A friend reccomended these books to me back at school...he always wanted to lend them to me but somehow we finished school before that happened. Still I trust his judgement.
(I didn't even know there was a TV-show on the way)
