Never heard of it before, but it's definitely a creative concept. It would be fascinating to know what their sales numbers are like.

Yeah, I wish I had more info. I don't sell nearly as many paperback as Kindle copies, so having to cover shelf rental each month is a concern.

You could always phone/email the place and ask how many people visit the store and what types of books they sell the most of? Can you rent the shelf space for 6 months and decide if it is worth it, or is it an annual contract?

It's almost Christmas time too, so there is a good chance a fair number of people will walk into a book shop and pick up Christmas presents. You can also do box sets for Christmas - wrap up your 3 books in a red or green ribbon with "free" bookmark or period pendant or something like that? Or 3 book set in a pre-wrapped fancy box? Or even "free" bookmark with a single book?

You need to make people buy YOUR books instead of any of the other books, so making yours stand out with extra goodies might work?

Just tossing out ideas.

If that colouring-in phase is still going on, you can include a book-sized, relevant to book, colouring picture on card for your new readers to colour and display?

Great ideas! It starts as a 4 month commitment, so I could take advantage of the Christmas season. And I would have never thought of a coloring page. Thanks!

Well, there you go. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Try it out for 4 months and then evaluate.

You talked me into it. ;-) I submitted my books for approval.
