Thanks for sharing! I am only able to see the 'highlights' not the full essay, but I am familiar with this topic. The theory that Edward was born via cesarean is stated as fact in a few nonfiction sources and disparaged in others. I find it easier to agree with the latter opinion given the attitude toward the procedure at that time (especially with the queen as patient) and the amount of time that Jane lived after the birth, but I suppose we cannot know for certain.

Yeah, you'd have to purchase the paper to read it. I found a good one in the same issue that caught my eye, something about Darwin employing grave robbers :D
