Yeah, umm, the cover and the blacksmith shop scene sold this for me. I do sometimes miss the old bodice ripper series because it would be the same hero/heroine throughout the books and their continuing relationship.

This novella wasn't really a win for me either. I thought it was too silly in places which is saying a lot since I'm normally a big fan of light and humorous (and Tessa Dare in general.) I tend to agree that the class issues weren't fully explored either.

Clio - thanks for inviting me on here... I've actually read this recently! I read most of the Spindle Cove books -- I liked Week to be Wicked and Lady by Midnight the best.
