This was my first Kearsley, and although I did finish it, I was not overly impressed.

I'm sure I'll go back and finish it when I'm in the right mood. I generally like the duel story lines Kearsley weaves - one present, one past - but the two main characters here, while realistic enough, are kinda meh. Fergal comes across with the most personality. I imagine the action will pick-up in the final third of the book, but whether or not that will liven up the characters and make for a more satisfying relationship between Eva and Daniel remains to be seen.
