I saw the first picture and thought "oh, aren't they pretty - and I'd never think to use mint in my arrangements, but it's a brilliant idea"... then I saw the second picture and thought:

"Ooh! Cool cat!!!" lol.... It's like a pop-art version of the Easter cat. Thanks for sharing both the flowers and the cat with us. :)

The mint has crept under the fence from our neighbor's yard, and we need to dig it out again before it takes over the entire flower bed. Invasive stuff which is why I've always grown it in pots. But it did came in handy as greenery and smells really nice along with the iris fragrance.

And naturally the calico kitty usually resides on the book shelves in the study. :) It's the 'cat themed' room, but I've got other kitty stuff tucked around the house, too.

@ BT & Martini: Bearded iris are really gorgeous! There's so many different colors, and I think many of them smell as sweet as citrus blossoms. We've actually got a big Eureka lemon tree in full bloom now right next to all the iris, and the fragrance is heavenly. Lots of very happy bees too!

Wow, how beautiful!
Those are beautiful iris. (My late grandmother bred them.)
