That sounds like a good plan. I have a few short ones lined up for the game too! I haven't really planned out my reads and squares, though, so some of them may not apply after a bit.

I haven't planned very far. I have two quite short ones so I'll read those in the next couple of days, but there's several I just want to read all at once! And I haven't chosen books for all the squares. I think this will be my chaos year. Some squares I have several possibilities for so if they get called, I'll make a decision.
It's so much fun to see the different plans of attack we each have for our Bingo lists. I usually have an audio and a bound book going at once, but not sure I can do more than that and keep my sanity intact!
lol I usually have an audio, an e-book, and a print book going at the same time... and sometimes another one or two e-books going as well. But with my reading pace lately, I'm restricting myself a little bit... though it's hard not to start reading everything I've already got planned to read for bingo. Right now I've only got an e-book and a print book, though probably because I haven't decided if I want to start the audio yet...
I deeply admire your multitasking abilities! I used to keep an ebook going at the same time as the print and audio, but found that i couldn't track three different stories at once, so now it's audio and either print or ebook.

I look at it like watching episodes of a television program. I actually need a change of scene after a few chapters of a book, even a good one!
I do too! but the switch from audio to print/ebook will do it for me. I sit and read a while, then I get up and listen to my audio while I do chores or run errands, etc. Then sit and read again. I can generally manage if I have a print nonfiction and a print fiction going at the same time, but just get muddled and impatient if more than one fictional story in print.
I try to make sure I never have more than one of the same kind of story going at once (for example, reading one of the Harry Dresden books while also reading Days Gone Bad would be a bad idea), and I usually turn to different formats at different times (audio for work, paper for home, e-books on my phone wherever). And then there's stuff like House of Leaves - if I tried to make that my sole book, I think I'd push myself into a reading slump. It's a bit of an exhausting read so far.
I have so many paperbacks and hard cover books that are waiting to be read that I like to start one when I get in the mood. On the other hand, I also like to have an e-book going that I can read on my phone since I can't always carry my paperbacks around. If I'm reading something non-fiction, then I can also read more than one print/e-book since I tend to take my sweet time with non-fiction. I think the most I've ever had going at once was probably five books, which, unfortunately, causes me to lose focus, so I don't do that anymore.
Otherwise, between three books, I don't find any issue with keeping each book straight--kinda like Lora's watching episodes of different television programs or series. Unless I'm just not getting into a book, then I have to either come back to it and start over later, or just give up.

The one thing I have to be careful about is multiple Fantasy books at once. They can cross over in my mind. Horror doesn't usually have that issue as the stories are so different.
