His wife's name was Peggy Shipman, and no, I didn't much like her either. He pretty much got what he deserved after the war since he was never successful in anything he did and important people in England shunned him. But it mostly made me sad that John Andre had to die. Even Washington thought it was unjust but necessary. He should have followed General Gates 3 rules: don't go behind enemy lines, don't take off the British uniform and don't carry incriminating papers. He would not have died as a spy if he had followed those rules.
