I don't typically read reviews until after I finish a book, if I read them at all. In this case it turns out I should have read some of the reviews first. Apparently the American copies of the book were all published missing 32 pages. I am not on a mission to find the remaining 32 pages.

Seriously? Which 32 pages? What the hell? I have the AU edition, and I can figure out how to get those 32 pages to you somehow (it's a print edition, but I have technology!).

I've read all the books and seen the first 2 or 3 series of the TV show. It's good, but there are significant differences. Phryne's love life in the TV show is non-existant, except for a will-they/won't-they flirtation with the inspector. Also she only adopts one child, not two.

I have been doing some digging since finding out about the last 32 pages. Apparently if you get a hold of the publisher, they will give you a new copy of the book or a pdf file with the last 32 pages. I'm trying to see if I can find a local library with the paper back version that is suppose to be the complete book. I have been told that if I watch the television series, it answers the unanswered questions. I guess I was satisfied enough with how the book ended that I didn't realize something was missing until I started reading the reviews.

How does someone miss 32 pages? I don't know. I would think a quality control person would have figured that out before they produced all of the contracted books.

Well, let me know if you can't find it and I'll be happy to figure out something on my end. :)
