Hi, I just happened upon your review and it's late so I said to myself, What the heck, I'll comment on your observations. First of all, I wrote the book you reviewed. I'm glad you like Sheyna. I have been working like crazy on the second book in the series and I think it's some of my best work. Second, you opened my eyes to a few things. This book was a rewrite of an earlier, shorter, work, so I can see where you get the clunky writing at times comment. You are probably right. I need to review it again at some point. I don't remember writing the adult characters as silly but I will look into that as well for a possible second edition. I don't remember describing other character traits in dialogue but this alarmed me. I will be reviewing that for certain. Yeah, first books in series are often just okay. After I get done writing book 2 and the editor is editing it, I will go back and investigate some of this. You know what, it would be a great help to me if you could maybe email me with specifics of the adult characters being silly, maybe some chunkiness if you can remember all that. You know, be a little more specific. I would be totally grateful and I will even give you a free copy of book 2, heck, I will even let you beta read it before editing and let you give me feedback on book 2 of you want. It looks like you read a lot and I love getting reader insight!
