Totally excited! Hopefully this buzz will give me the kick I need to put all the GR crap behind me and focus on what's important... reading, reflecting and reviewing ;-)

Ooh lovely. I get some from them, but mostly from Abe books in the uk who have everything ever! :)
Good to know :)
Hey Samir! I don't want to be a problem, but I'm not able to see the photos on your post.
How odd! I wonder if anyone else has that problem...

AHA! Now I'm doing that thing where I pick out the ones I've read and then look up all the rest....
LOL we're such bookaholics!
Wow, those look great.
Yeah... some (mainly the African authors) I've been wanting to read for years!
Apart from some of the author I am familiar with, I have to admit I have not read any of these. Is that book by Adriaan van Dis in English in Dutch? I once read his Barbaar in China (of which I don't knkw the Englksh title if it has even been translated into English to begin with). Can't wait to read your reviews of these new acquisitions!
It's in English. As far as I know, only this title and 'My Father's War' are translated into English. I'm eager to read his writing, I remember attending a lecture and live interview by him, and I was impressed with both his background and his style/voice when he gave a short reading.
