This totally blows!

Print or eBook? I'm sure it doesn't say anything good about myself that I didn't notice any editing errors. Yikes.

This one was ebook, but 2 of the last ones were print. I know you & I have read the same books & I see editing errors that drive me nuts & you just enjoy the book. I guess this says a lot about how picky I am, ( nit-picky?). I know in the last 'In Death' book other readers, (fans), acknowledged the same errors when I mentioned them, but didn't think it was such a big deal.

I always figured I was a bit oblivious to most of the errors that others would pick up - as long as the story had enough of my interest. I am a lousy multi-tasker! lol But if I'm not totally enjoying the story, I find a lot more of the editing problems.

I don't think it makes you nit-picky at all. I think the publishing industry feels like they have to throw stuff at us fast so they don't lose our interest. Give the rate they publish Nora Roberts books, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they're fat with errors. And if I'm being honest, I certainly have to admit to loving not having to wait 12+ months for the next book in the series. Dammit, makes me part of the problem!

I have been reading her books for many years, and in fact have the entire In Death collection, as I started those when she began writing them. Back before the advent of ebooks, etc. there were not these copy editing errors. I don't know what the cause / solution is I just know that when I pay $12.00 - &15.00 for an ebook I expect better than I've gotten. Luckily I have the older stories, and with my sieve-like memory I can reread them now and enjoy them almost as much as the first time.
