You're welcome! I'm not really very good at these things either, lol. Did it work? I only started using CSS last week, ahahah. I'm hopeful that Booklikes will implement a proper (easy) method of adding blockquotes soon, without the faffing about with code but in the meantime this is maybe a stop-gap workaround :)

Thank you for taking so much time to post this, Silver Thistle. I've managed to change a few things on my blog, and I'm looking forward to trying your tutorial.

I was so excited when someone explained to me how to get a fixed background. (It doesn't take much to make me happy!)

You're very welcome :) I'm easily pleased too, lol. Believe me when I say I'm only a stage or two ahead of you here, I actually have no clue what I'm doing, really, lol. A few days ago I didn't even know what CSS was but there are so many clever people here who are willing to share knowledge that I just wanted to give something back, with the little I've learned. I hope you have success with this if you get a chance to try it out :)

OMG, that does it now! I have to "follow" you! Just have to! I've been looking for a way to re-introduce my beloved blockquotes (which I use far more than is probably acceptable in proper reviews) for ages (that translates as almost two weeks). And since I'm completely illiterate when it comes to html and customising this is exactly the kind of tutorial I need. Can't wait to get home (yes, I can snoop around BookLikes at work and yes, I'm completely swamped with work. Why do you ask?) to see if I get this to work. Thank you!

Lol, you're very welcome! And thank you! :) It will work in your main post but the dashboard view won't show it. I get round that by using the pagebreak thing at the top of the bit where I add my post to make a cut and 'read more'. Have fun with making it how you like it :)
