Nice review. Btw, do you happen to have any book recommendations for the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood?
I don't think so. (If my father were here, I'd ask him - he loves them.)

After checking GR for a list and culling through Amazon's offerings, I went with two titles: 'Pre-Raphaelite's In Love' by Gay Daly and 'The Pre-Raphaelite Sisterhood' by Jan Marsh.

I was looking for a biographical overview of the various artists and models involved in the movement to follow up on the BBC 'Desperate Romantics' production I'm currently watching. The show has great atmosphere/sets/costumes but a pretty bad script that too often veers to sexual romp. The cast is gorgeous and the acting is good, or at least the actors/actresses seem to just embrace the silliness of the material they had to work with and have fun with it. :) Hopefully the books will give me a more accurate picture of these artists/models and the Pre-Raphaelite school of art.
They're a really interesting group. (Yes, William Holman Hunt really did go to the Holy Land just to paint a goat.)

Given the genius of St. Peter's and the Sistine Chapel, can you imagine what he could have accomplished had he actually been allowed to sculpt? Sheesh...
The mind boggles.
