Thanks! It was a nice day, probably mostly because I know I only have one more day to go until vacation time after today :) I have always loved scary stories too. I'm about 35% in so far and it's decent, I'm looking forward to all hell breaking out soon enough!
Late at night is totally the *best* time to start reading anything scary! Is it properly scary? I picked it up a bit ago and haven't read any yet, but I've been desperately searching for something terrifying.
So far I'd say it's more of a creepy vibe than scary, but I'm not too far into it yet. I'll definitely let you know if it turns out being scary though. If you haven't had a chance to read the Experiment in Terror series by Karina Halle yet, I'd recommend those. Halke knows how to set a very creepy scene and the characters are fantastic!
Creepy will do! (And is just as hard to manage it seems like...) I'm excited to start it now.
The first book is called Farmhouse, and I believe the kindle book is only 99ยข! If you do start the series I'll be interested to see how you feel about it :)
