eh yeah thats not cool .. i dont like those kinds of details in shifter books. makes it odd for some of us who consider those things that way.

Exactly - it is just too creepy to be in the story with the MCs and one of them is basically a little child...or a sentient pet...or whatever...and then they jump into sexual actions without much forewarning...not good at all.
