Oh, ... Wodehouse! Of course! I haven't read that one, yet. Is that the one with "the device"?
"The device"? (Sorry, seem to be sitting on my brain ...)

"The Clicking of Cuthbert" is not part of the Jeeves & Wooster canon -- it's a series of stories centering on a golf club, narrated by "the Oldest Member."

That sounds almost fascinating. It's the golf element that would put me off, but on the other hand, it would probably be fun.

The device is an adjustable golf iron that appears in the tv series, but I'm not sure it's in the books. It's not in My Man Jeeves or Carry on, Jeeves.
Oh, of course ... tells you how many episodes of the TV series I have yet to see. :)

And re: "The Clicking of Cuthbert" -- exactly my thinking. I'm not into golf at all, but it's Wodehouse ... and these are short stories, so it't not like you have to read them all in a row.
