She has recently switched because when she was first published it was suggested to her that she was SJ rather than Sharon because SJ meant people wouldnt know she was a WOMAN and secondly apparently her name was common. She doesnt put up with that crap anymore. Or something like that. She was talking about it on Twitter recently. :)
Thank you! I figured it had probably something to do with not wanting to sound female (how stupid is that? I was very tempted to use UZR (a Dutch acronym for Publishers Are Weird)), but I thought that was something that happened mostly with fantasy-authors (like Robin Hobb or JK Rowling). Anyway, I don't mind what name she uses as long as she keeps writing good books =)
I still need to read the second book, but it's going to be my next book, after I finish my last exam on Friday. I was a bit disappointed that she stopped writing stand alones, but I quite liked the first book, so I'm looking forward to it.
OH that is "Dead Scared" I really liked that one! And the 3rd Like This For Ever followed on nicely. New one released in May. I should get the proof anytime now. So far though Dead Scared has been my fave of the 3 so hope you enjoy.
