I love Horrible Histories, and I'm not their target age group either. The Viking song is just ace and so are the four Georges - both great for doing the dishes to. I'm also a big fan of the books, but the TV show just has me in stitches.
The show really is amazing. I love almost every song, my favourites change all the time, but I've a soft spot for Richard III and The Evil Emperors (though that last one is a bit for sentimental reasons, as it was the first I ever saw of HH), and Darwin, and ... Their songs are so extremely catchy. My youngest sister once said to me and my other sister that she suspected we might have watched these songs around 10 times. (I'm afraid to admit the real number is way higher xD)
Yeah, the Richard III song is awesome. And the Greek Philosophers, and Spartan High School Musical...oh, I feel the need to list them all, really. And, omg, Historic Wife Swap is hilarious. Have you seen the one with the onion?
That's the one with the baby called Silence isn't?
And Historical Masterchef is really funny as well, how they set the judges. 'FIVE MINUTES' & 'People make food and we eat it, that the concept as I see it' XD
Yes. So, many good things...
The open top bus tour in Edinburgh is narrated in Horrible History style, too, but for some reason it doesn't work that well.
They tried to make a Horrible Histories-like children program in the Netherlands as well, because translating won't work, it could never be funny enough. I think I watched a few episodes, but it wasn't working for me. It's probably an OK sketch show, but not compared to HH. They never went into a second series.
I love the English King's and Queen's Song. And the one on Richard III...and the one about Nelson...
Yeah...as you see I'm also totally grown up and not interested in programs aimed at people half my age.
