I need to try this some time, to give Ishiguro's writing another go. Ishiguro's The Unconsoled was a DNF for me. It had paragraphs that sometimes stretched on for as long as 4 pages, and it was overall just too bizarre.
I haven't read anything else besides Never let me go, but I thought there were some very beautiful passages in it (although I didn't like all his writing).
This is one of my all-time favorite books, but Ishiguro isn't my favorite author. The only other Ishiguro book I tried to read was The Remains of the Day, and it was a DNF for me. (If I read it today I would probably finish it, but at the time I was reading it I was more likely to DNF a book I wasn't particularly absorbed into.)
