As a companion piece: http://booklikes.com/hugh-thomson-s-illustrations-of-jane-austen-s-sense-and-sensibility-northan/book,13887577

It's a slim volume, but Thomson's illustrations are absolutely on point -- I'd love to own editions of the books where they're reunited with the text.

At Chawton, they have enlarged colorized versions (of his illustrations for "Pride and Prejudice", too) on the walls -- I took photos of every single set when I was there last year.
Interesting. And that must've been gorgeous

I'm likely to go with the unfinished and/or earlier works next, like Lady Susan, and Love and Friendship
You'll love "Lady Susan". It's quite a bit grittier than "Northanger Abbey", but another piece of great satire.
I really did. It was magnificently savage
