Nice list :) although I confess I don't know all these titles, but oh well I will read all about them in your reviews!

Ugh, not Hale. She seems to be, besides a self-obsessed stalker of reviewers that don't like her, a rather limited writer. I haven't gotten far into that book, which I bought used because Ms Stalker gets not one penny from me, but her writing that I have read contains a certain sense of "what-can-I-write-that-will-shock-people" glee. That is okay when it goes with the story but when the story is fashioned to go with the glee- then not so much.

Kathleen Hale is an author I've never heard of : I googled a bit and her stalking incident doesn't reflect good on her. (http://alex-hurst.com/2014/10/21/kathleen-hale-vs-blythe-harris/)

I've heard about lots of authors having temper tantrums at bad reviews, such as Kiera Cass from the selection series. Such 'incidents' really discouraging me from picking up these books (with the selection i tried not to be sidetracked and it was an okay series).

Hale started her career in "terror", so to speak, early. Try finding what she did to another girl when they were 14. Or read about her killing a wild pig as a "mitzvah".

I did. That woman is troubled!

No Hale, please! Flying across the country to spy, in person, on a person that gave you a negative review is NOT COOL.
Oh dear. I think I heard about that incident but didn't realize that was her! I'm gonna let my mom know right away that I'll just make that one a library read or something. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Illuminae is a great pick- it was awesome! You definitely have to read it!
