I read this last year and I had a lot of similar reactions. The Mercerism was my biggest complaint also. There were a lot of little plot threads brought up in this book that were all interesting, but not all of them were fleshed out well enough to be satisfying.
Wasn’t the mood organ the device that they could dial to different settings and it would make them feel certain moods? From one of the first scenes in the book between Rick and his wife? Or am I misremembering?
Yeah, that's what the mood organ was. I just meant I didn't understand what it actually was. Like, a machine or an actual organ, you know? xD Made the question os who was an android and who wasn't more confusing.
