Does anything happen between here and p400, say?

Slow, but good. On the bright side, it is not as slow as Les Miserables - which is the slowest book ever (even though it is a fine read). I was glad I had read Jane Eyre before checking out The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, because after that one, JE would have been slightly less impressive.
Not sure if Les Mis or War and Peace is the longer - but they have to be the two longest books I've ever read. The irrelevant digressions in Les Mis were irritating but it was a great story. I perhaps am struggling with JE partly because I already know the causes of the Mysterious Events and the eventual outcome.
