Nice review! I think one of the problems of being a constant reader is that things do start to become "familiar". That could be why series are so popular - readers get involved with the characters and forgive familiarity? Gee, I wax poetic at 6 on a Sunday morning. Why am I up?
Lol, I think a lot of my frustration came from the narrator angsting over a deep, dark secret. But, the secret was so predictable that I just wanted her to say it and get on with the story.

I’ve had the familiarity problem with other books, too. I used to read a ton of YA dystopias, but they all started to feel like clones, so I don’t read as many now. Maybe I need a break from contemporary YA?
