I could have done without the additional chapters and I didn´t know beforehand that they don´t belong to the main story. So I was utterly confused while reading them.

I loved the vampires. They were pure evil. Not the cuddly kind of washed down vampires that one encounters nowadays in books :)

Hahaha, no, I can't even picture Stephen King making them sparkle. Or rather, if they do ... well, you better beware!

Hehe ;). Thankfully you can count on King sticking to the more traditional vampire lore.

And if the traditional stuff wasn't gruesome enough for him, he'd just make something up! :)

But the stuff he makes up is plausible. Sparkling vampires ... not so much ;)

Not the Stephenie Meyer variety, anyway (plus, it's boring). Sparkling vampires à la Stephen King might actually be a good deal weirder ... but they'd also be a whole lot scarier. AND he'd probably come up with a pseudo-scientific explanation for the effect to boot!
