Well, it's allowed you to check off another square, so it did have its uses! :)

Yes, it did :D. Always think positive.
Exactly! :D

Ow, that is a bit disappointing. The title held great promise (a bit like Murder at the Museum, I guess).

The cover is gorgeous, tho.
The BL really does a phantastic job with their covers, don't they?

They are stunning. They had a whole table full of these editions at Waterstones Piccadilly and I stood there drooling for a bit ;)
The whole series in mint condition must be a beautiful sight to see!

I'm slowly but surely moving them all from my wishlist to my physical TBR, but as used books -- whenever the used book price for one of them shows up as below my personal (very low) limit, into my shopping basket it goes ... Now what was that Schopenhauer said about acquiring a book not equaling also having read it? :D

I had to look the Schopenhauer quote up. I bet even he had unread books on his shelves ;D. His own guilty conscience is speaking here.

I really do love this quote, though:

"Das Publikum ist so einfältig, lieber das Neue als das Gute zu lesen."

This definitely applies to the German bestsellerlist. I watched Denis Scheck a couple of days ago, tossing six books out of ten from the bestsellerlist into the garbage bin. Absolutely brilliant!
I don't even follow the German bestseller list anymore for that very reason. :( Though I would have loved to see the garbage toss ...
