It's nice learning more about you, Tanya!
I love your shelves. :)

I'm jealous of your shelves.

Thanks. I had to do a lot of convincing to get my dad to build them.

Writing a review for a 4 or 5 star read is definitely more difficult than writing one for an average or even bad book.

And, yes, definite shelf-envy from me, too.

Who's your canine pal?
Elentarri's Book Blog 3 months ago
There are 2 of them - the German Shepherd is Cobalt (it's his birthday today), the Bull Terrier is Molly - she thinks she is a cat.

How does she think she's a cat, exactly?

What Tannat asked ^^^^.

Also, Happy Birthday to Cobalt.

She needs to sit on the warm spots - your feet, lap, blanket, couch. She also needs to sit/sleep on people. She always needs to be inside. Not fond of getting her feet wet, but she like playing in the dam though.

Ah, so she's a lap dog, pretty much.

By that description, my cat doesn't act all that catlike.

She is a very heavy lap dog!

Fair enough!
^^ What they said!! ^^

Hello Elentarri! :)

And I totally agree on the Josh Kirby Discworld covers. Plus, I totally get a kick out of identifying the book's various characters on the cover -- above and beyond the usual suspects, that is.

Nice to meet you Tanya! I love your library, they're so colorful and I love how you have them all over your house. The bookshelves themselves, are beautiful too.

Thank you. :)

Where to begin... I've been eyeing that history of the world in 6 glasses, but maybe I'll pass on it. That history of animals in 100 objects is replacing it on my piles though. And I have Squid Empire on my TBR - I'm so glad to hear it's good!

I'm glad you ended up here on BookLikes; I love reading your reviews and have found some great science books because of them. (and I agree: much easier to write critical reviews than raving reviews)

I'm with BT - can we have an introduction to your pup? You've been holding out on us! ;)

I'm in awe of how organised your bookshelves are and totally envious of the glass doors on them!

Glass doors are a necessity - it keeps all the dust, doggie noses and baby nephew's fingers out (especially since I moved all the ornaments in there too).
