I'm getting notifications by email and on top of my Dashboard about receiving Comments and Likes for some of my postings that aren't there when I try to find them. Maybe that's because of the big influx of new members? I don't so much mind the missing the Likes, but I hate to have someone make a Comment to one of my posts that I can't see so I can't respond back to them. It makes me feel rude. I'm sure it's temporary and it's great to have the community expanding--welcome new members!

I must agree with Carroll, please take a strong stance against author bullying!

We hope that the service will stay a positive, friendly and respectful place for people who love reading books and discussing them. All our guideline are set in our recent post http://blog.booklikes.com/post/198757/booklikes-community-guidelines . We hope that all members will follow those guidelines.
Hi pre-existing BL folks, I'm your site newbie from GR. If you don't know about it, GR have been targeting their reviewers base with their policy and starting some mass review deletion WITHOUT notification merely on their shelf title. There are both positive and negative reviews affected by this too. For a lot of existing reviewers who have spent years reading and reviewing for years are are uncomfortable about this form of censorship which is one of the reason why these mass migration occur. I am one of this people with nearly half a thousand book reviews under my belt and its highly unlikely for me to notice whenever some of my reviews blink out of the site so Booklikes is one of the site that made it easy for user to migrate by csv files.

If you spot some of them exhibit troll tendency, feel free to flag them instead of stereotyping all GR reviewers as author bullies who don't read. If you have proof them bullying the author and defaming them, feel free to flag and report or screen cap whenever you find this affecting you. Before you start believing all the stuff people write about the site's reviewers, feel free to check up STGRB cyberstalkers; they publish all personal details on their site much like average cyberstalkers or genuine authors that publicly insult reviewers merely because they receive negative reviews and need to vent. Flag system in GR does goes both ways too, if you're an author affected by inflammatory words directed to you instead of the book, you can report them too.

But we're all book lovers here right? (and BL admin,
you guys really need 'edit' option on your comments)
Agree, these unfriendly warnings directed to the thousands of Goodreaders who moved to Booklikes in protest of their deleting content and mind reading members 'intent' is sad. Too much misinformation floating around, and most of it is meant to scare authors into believing that all of Goodreads is evil.
I loved this post....until I saw the comment section. Ouch.
