I'm reeling. I thought FictFact was at least very low priority on the shutdown/takeover amazon schemes.
I mean, it didn't have reviews to compete with amazon's nor forums that amazon might find objectionable. It was just a lowkey tool we could use to track stuff of use to us with features like "next in series" that amazon and goodreads both have publicly refused to implement.
If anything, I'd think it actually boosted amazon sales because most people following a series would want to get the next book. Sales and preorders. Amazon series info has sucked since they removed Shelfari from kindles and attempted a not very successful import of some goodreads series info.
Oh damn, I just realized that fictfact was also my favorite new release calendar because I could also view it narrowed down just to series I followed to find the newly published ones.
Well, maybe not "damn" -- it was bad for my budget.
I know. Just a useful tool. Just let us track some stuff. You wouldn't expect there to be an issue with amazon purchase links that amazon wouldn't just let them correct so could be reinstated.
Is there ONE good thing on the web that doesn't eventually get ruined by Amazon??
