It's just sad to see how quickly the goodreads book pages are being ruined or made to match what currently for sale book data comes down from amazon. I wouldn't even be upset at bad data coming in because I was used to that the last time goodreads had amazon data feed; but, now, the years of careful librarian edits getting wiped out because amazon data overrides -- that was bothering me.
Not bothering me anymore; I'm just not looking at book pages at all now that my last group challenge finished. I'm letting booklikes sync post my currently reading for me so goodreads friends know I'm alive, checking my goodreads feed for friend and author blog posts, and that's pretty much it except for deleting books as I transfer their reviews/comments/statuses over (I finished E-Z and most of the D titles already).
I'll get over it completely once booklikes has a book catalog and librarian/editor options become available on Leafmarks or booklikes. Any urges towards goodreads, I'll just work out on other sites, eh?
*sigh* now I'm noticing I've done something goofy in my blog html customizing so that the avatar thumbnails are too close to the actual comments. Fudge.
I haven't left librarian's group. Because sometimes I run across bba-helpful vandalizing of book synopsis I like to post for editing. Girl's gotta have a hobby.
