I second that
I'm love your strength to keep trying but the radio silence has went too long for me to have any hope. I can't remember who, but someone said they saw the guy owner on Linkedin had owner of this site ending on Nov 2016. No clue what and if that means anything but I do think this site has been forgotten/left. The last three months so many people have left and I can't remember the last new person that joined or stuck around.

*shrug* - he originally had his tenure ending in 04/16 with Joanna taking over as CEO, but that's right about the same time she got both pregnant and ill, which I can well believe put a hitch in their transition plans. I just checked Joanna's Linked in and it shows her still presently with BookLikes. I can interpret this 2 ways:
1. She's getting back into the swing of things and they're transitioning positions, or
2. Dawid is much more proactive about updating his site than she is hers, and there are indeed dark days ahead.

Either is possible; I'll stick around to find out. It's not obvious, but the site hasn't been left and it's illogical to me that Dawid would waste his time seeking out site monitoring services and continuing to tweak the site if he's no longer invested. But just in case, I've got LibraryThing going and I'm very casually playing with a blog of my own, so I'm not risking anything (now). I'll miss the people who leave, but I get why and maybe they'll come back. :)

I would too - I miss the interaction with them, but I get it; I remember what it was like when my sister was sick. I desperately hope it gets better here soon, and I figure the tag might at least get the message across. Nothing to lose at this point, right?

The best thing to do for super-stressed site owners is not to add to their stress and therefore I must wholeheartedly disagree with this plan. There is absolutely NOTHING happening here on this website that can even approximate that which the owners are dealing with at this time. This is not the time for sharing our petty frustrations but rather a time for compassion and understanding and for sitting back quietly as events over which we have no control and no input take their course. This is a devastating time for the owners; let's not make it worse. The only messages we should be floating are #OurThoughts/PrayersAreWithYou #We'llBeHereWhenYouGetBack.

I love this - thank you! I suggested the tag because it's a passive form of communication - BL will find the posts if they look for them (as opposed to sending emails that overwhelm their inbox). But I also suggested it with the understanding that nobody here would use it as an outlet for pettiness - I'd like to think that everyone here is better than that.

I'll definitely be here when they get back, but I don't think it's unreasonable for users to allow BL to see their fears that this site has been abandoned and I think our community standards are high enough that people will do that respectfully.
I personally agree with the tagging. Open communication is important. It's better to vent frustrations (or share) then let little things build into something big. Notifying BL of our problems isn't harassing them. They are offering a service and we the consumers are suggesting how we think the product could improve. They don't need to rush to it, but it could help them prioritize what are the bigger problems for the most people when they are ready.
