Nice Review! I'm adding to my TBR. Have you read her Lady Arianna series yet? If so, do you like it? It sounds good too

The Lady Arianna series is the one with a chocolate background? If so, yes, I read it and I enjoyed it - BUT - I might have been one of the few that did. The characters were a little heavy handed and were difficult to bond with, but I got the impression while reading them that the author wasn't trying to make them difficult, just spirited, and it just didn't translate successfully onto the page. I liked the premise, it was fun, so I overlooked a lot of problems. It's worth trying the first one, but if you can get it from the library first, go that route.

The first book is Sweet Revenge and the second is Cocoa Conspiracy so maybe thats the one with chocolate background. I've never read a series with a food/cooking theme but it didn't seem to over the top so maybe I'll try it one day. The Wrexford and Sloane series seems a little more up my alley : )

Yes - that's the one. And the chocolate tie isn't the typical cozy-like theme, it's just a very subtly thread running through the chapters, tying the history of chocolate in Europe with the time setting of the books. Even though I enjoyed them, I do think the Wrexford/Sloane series is probably a stronger one overall.

Isn't it? I think the covers are what caught my attention first, before realising I recognised the author. :)
