Oh the title of the english version is quite boring. The Original is "Darm mit Charme" = Gut with charme. I met the Author 2014 in Leipzig. At this time she was student and sooo young. :-) so I think I had the same feeling with Giulia like you with the narrator. I think Katy Sobeys voice was chosen quite near to the original voice of Giulia Enders
The voice certainly matches perfectly with the photo on the book cover - I had no problem imagining it was the author speaking. :)
you know how the idea of this book begun? :D Giuia Enders told the audience the story of this in Leipzig :D. Just imagine - a students flatshare after a party at 3 or 4 am, a lot of alcohol, everybody totally drunken. Another student asks Giulia: "Giulia your' re studying medicine, right? Can you answer one question exactly. What happens really inside, when your are shitting?" And that is the story of the birth of this book :D
