If you read long portions of the book all at once, your eyes start glazing over. It's interesting (if you don't know half the stuff already), but not all at once.

I completely agree. And I'll probably pick it up now and again and re-read bits. But I get oddly stressed about books languishing in my Currently Reading, so it had to get done.
