Oof! I hate it when production quality takes a nosedive in a series. With mistakes like those, I'd be wondering if the wrong manuscript file got sent to the printer. :/

A very valid wondering! It really, truly, could not have had a final read before printing otherwise; these mistakes were not the kind only a pedant would notice. :-/

Did you finish the book with the feeling that you need to buy a Corvette?

Why did the author need to change the character's occupation from electrician to plumber? Was either of them relevant to the plot?

Not that I really care. I'm just sorry that the book didn't live up to its lovely cover.

No, I've never been a fan of 'vettes - although the old stingrays looked nice. :)

The different trades were part of the plot, and while electrical and plumbing were both involved, the author mixed them up their company names at one point in a way that was an obvious mistake and made everything even more confusing that it already was.

The covers are really great, and normally the stories are decent; this one was just phoned in.
