lol Coincidentally, the tangent with the Hellequins was also my favorite part of this book and I'd wished there'd been more. =P Also, Annith was never my favorite of the three main heroines and it took some time for me to warm up to her in this one.

I'm not sure I ever did warm up to her. I didn't dislike her, but she didn't feel fully realised as a character, even after she 'discovered' she could chart her own path and be her own person. I think Balthazar kept this book going for me.

I'm with you there. I'm sure Balthazar did it for me in this book. And also, some random interactions involving Ismae and Sybella also helped. I honestly wouldn't mind LaFever doing a duology about Ismae as well, since she's doing one with Sybella.

I would love one with Ismae, since her book was my favourite, though I feel like her story is probably the most 'complete', since, you know, she's becoming an old married lady. XD

lol That is true. Probably anymore story for her might ruin my first impression after reading that first book. Sometimes even the best authors can take it too far. Wouldn't want that to happen. XD
