The Butler Did It 9 years ago
This is one of those negative reviews that almost makes me want to read the book. Thanks for the great review!

You're welcome! I am complimented by that. I'm really loathe to tell people "don't read this!" because who knows? Quite a lot of people on GR really liked it, and I *wanted* to like it, which probably made me more rant-y in the end.
Maybe Boone has super powers?
I get where you're coming from on everything you mentioned and you are spot on. I didn't even remember that it was Blanche that was being carted away. I did a count on my iPad and I found 9 matches for "sign of the cross."
Why did you have to mention bacon with the Snickers? Snickers ARE delicious by themselves, but you added bacon to it and I can't get it out of my head. Seriously, I have visions of Snickers pie with a bacon crumb topping.

ROFL... Sorry, I should know better than to add bacon - everything is better with bacon!

Thanks for the count - I knew it was too many!

Overall this series just plain frustrates me.On top of everything you wrote that fit to a T that bugs me in this series. Regan always seems to get the short-end and that ex-husband of hers... What? Is his only purpose to be a butthead in the small cameos appearances? While Walker does come across surperhuman I don't like how he tries to blow off Regan knowing her as he does she's just going to get into trouble anyways, be proactive and work with her? I think this is going to be the end of this series for me.

I agree, why does that ex have to be such a hateful character? Why does he even have to BE a character? Divorce is final, no kids, no reason for him to keep showing up. I didn't mention him in the review, as he appeared only once in this book (thank god), but you're right he's unnecessary.

I like Boone, but again, I agree, the "go sell shoes and dresses" should have gotten him slapped, hard, upside the head. Of course, maybe if the author respected her MC more (stop making her such a scattered mess!), Boone would too.
The quote about putting on jewelry and removing a piece is, I *think*, from Coco Chanel?

I think so too, but I couldn't find it attributed to Chanel, (or anyone else) anywhere on the web. It was her or, I thought, Miss Manners. :)
