On a completely separate issue, was the author's name chosen to make sure it was one of the first authors you'd come across in a mystery department? I've wondered the same thing with the YA author Avi; I'm not saying they aren't great names...just wondering what the idea was behind them.
I wondered the exact same thing - especially with Aames being spelled with the two "A"'s. I read once that cozy author Jill Churchill (a pseudonym) was chosen because "Churchill" would appear immediately after "Christie" on bookstore shelves, so I think it's a common consideration.
