Oh I wasn't imagining that triangle set-up then! But it seems like romance is very much a side story at least in the first book, so I think I can stand it. So very glad you liked it too!

I don't like love triangles in my romance, much less in my mysteries. I will wait for a couple more books in the series and see if the triangle is resolved to an one-on-one relationship.

It will be interesting to see how the romance goes. We haven't been introduced to the second man yet; presumably he'll be introduced in the next book. I hate love triangles but hopefully it will be a short-lived one.

I put this book to the side because I had heard it wasn't that good! After reading this review, well, now I HAVE to read it. Thanks for your review!

I had put it aside for the exact same reason - and then I read KrazyKiwi's review and felt the same way - I HAD to read it! lol.. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This sounds interesting, I'll have to give it a try! I'm not hot on the love triangle but we can hope it will be short lived. Glad you liked it and hope the series continues strong.

Yeah, the love triangle setup was only done at the very end, like the last few pages, and I was groaning the whole time thinking "no - don't do it!". But hopefully it will end before it begins. And at least the author isn't pulling the same crap Jenn McKinlay did and messing with established relationships.

True. The idea for the series alone basically guarantees I have to try it. Book that puts a smile on my face.
