Glad this one was so good.

And I've been wondering the same thing about the back of books recently. Do the people actually ever read the book...or even talk to the author? I'm not even sure they connect with the editors on some of these.

This one was fairly accurate about everything except Teddy being the prime suspect. He never came close and it was ultimately annoying, because I kept waiting for it the whole time I was reading. So it's like a shoe that never drops. You'd think *someone* would notice it. Do the authors not read their own back cover blurbs?

They may not have the time...particularly considering how fast some of these come out. I've always been amazed that some series have books that come out twice a year. I can't imagine the writing schedule. The blurbs might fall under covers, etc. and while they may see them, they might not have much say over them.

You'd think someone would point out "hey - this doesn't actually happen in the story" at some point though, wouldn't you?

You would...but that is not nearly as important as getting money. Oh well. In the end, better something wrong there then a huge plot hole or no editing in the actual story.

Wow. That came out cynical. Didn't entirely mean it that way.
