I have this signed :D
I have never read anything by him.
Read along with me then :)
Let me see if I can find it. I am heading to the bookstore as we speak and remember them having it. I prefer paper books when i am working outside of the house, and i am scheduled for over 30 hours of being there in person this week. I work in a group home, lots of behavioral problems and don't like to take my electronics. 2 laptops, 1 tablet, and an old phone met their death there.
Maybe? I'd have to find it first.

I hope you enjoy this! I got the chance to meet him over the weekend and he was all that I had hoped. :)
I loved it when I read it last year
This has been on my radar for a bit, but I must admit it moved up the list when you tagged it "Eldritch". Hmmm...
did i tag it eldritch?

So... it's been a year, but I'm not actually sure why I did tag it that. It definitely has otherwordly and weird, but not exactly lovecraftian (which is usually what prompts the eldritch tag for me). Shit, I can't remember.

What I can say about it is I'm not generally a reader of horror, though I do occasional dark fantasy. This book is about a young man accused of the rape & murder of the girl he loved, something he is certain he didn't do, who wakes up one morning with horns on his head that distort the reality and reactions of those around him. It's a downward spiral of anger and action as after all the shit has been dropped on him, he finally has a shovel of his own.

I also actually really enjoyed the movie they did of this - obviously some things are left out and changed (they always are), but it's a really good adaptation, and really captures the feeling of the book.

It is a great Oct/Halloween read (while being nothing about either)
