Oh, My Cousin Rachel! Enjoy! It's very different from Rebecca, more like Jamaica Inn, but I liked a lot.

Great post. I've got to try My Cousin Rachel.

My Cousin Rachel - noooo, don't do it! Just kidding. It's mind-warping, that's for sure ;p Are there plans to make it into a movie? I honestly don't think I'd want to see it but then again I'm mostly leery of most book-to-movie adaptations.

I'm sure there is an adaptation of My Cousin Rachel, but I have not seen it. As much as I want to know what's what (I'm not giving away spoilers) there's also a part of me that does not want to know and yet another that does not want the "not-knowing" spoiled by film.

Well, I started my January read today, but now it´s settled which book is going to be my pick for February. Thank you guys, you´re awesome :).
I´m not sure if there is a movie adaption of My Cousin Rachel just yet. But there is supposed to be an adaption starring Rachel Weizs and Sam Claflin. As I don´t know anything about the book I haven´t made my mind up if I´m going to watch the movie or not. But I´m really looking forward reading the novel.

Yay. Happy reading!
Btw, how are you liking Alias Grace?

I´m struggling :(. It´s not a book that I can read for hours on end that´s for sure. Two or three chapters and I´m having enough for the day. But I´m working slowly my way through it. But it will probably take me some more time to finish it.
Oh, and I pointed out one of the problems I´m having with this book. The "I said-he said-she said"-narrative, especially in the parts with Grace´s story, is extremely tedious and absolutely not my thing.
I love your choices. "Everything I Never Told You" is on my TBR list for this year, as is Ancillary Justice.

I'm surprised by the DuMaurier choice but then I've never heard of this title. I'll give it a look.

I hope you're going to enjoy "Everything I Never Told You". I loved it, it has been one of the books that could hold my interest during my reading slump. And I´m looking forward to your thoughts on Ancillary Justice. I´m a massive failure when it comes to reading a book series, but I really like the Imperial Radch trilogy.
So far I have only read Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier and it´s brilliant. But I wouldn´t have picked "My Cousin Rachel" if it wasn´t for that small challenge I set for myself (I guess I would have picked "Jamaica Inn" instead, if I would have been free to choose).
4.4, wow!

Yeah, I have been very picky about my book choices. There were are lot of 4 and 4,5 star reads and only a few books with a bad rating. And I tend to DNF a lot of books that are going to be a rating below three stars. Hence the pretty good average rating ;).
That's a great list of 5-star reads for 2015, as well as a great selection for 2016. I'll love to hear your thoughts on Endo's "Silence"!
