I'm reading shorter ones myself, mainly because I have too many Netgalley books to clear. Got a buddy read lined up on a ghost novella that looks promising.
I wish I had shorter ones to read, but I hardly ever read horror or thrillers. And I just happened to have Stephen King novels left over from last October. But I'm always taking suggestions. :)

Did you see the one that was going free the last couple of days? It's only 63 pages so I should be reading it soon. http://loram.booklikes.com/post/1267994/free-oct-10th-11th-grab-it-before-it-grabs-you

Someone said they were clutching the blanket while reading this, so it should be pretty spooky.

The other one I'm planning to read comes out tomorrow and is only 80 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Tale-Austin-Crawley-ebook/dp/B0166UA4RG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1444648851&sr=8-1&keywords=austin+crawley

I love the premise of this one, someone calling up the Christmas ghosts from Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I can see plenty going wrong.
