I agree 100% with your rant and wish I could give you an extra like just for that gif.

LOL, yes it suited the post perfect! :)

You're right. That's completely out of order. Care to name and shame? For our protection. A sample of the next book is a good way to make a sale, but what you describe is overkill and tasteless.

The Tidewater Sisters by Lisa Wingate. Lovely novella. Nothing wrong with it, but the first novella I bought before in this series was at least 80% story and then the excerpt showed up. 60% story makes it feel like I have bought too much excerpt that I'm not interested in.

Thanks. At least if I think of getting it, I'm forewarned.

Did you post a review on Amazon? Maybe if enough readers say it with reviews authors will get the idea. I don't mind a novella or short story if it's sold as such but to say there are x number of pgs when x is including excerpts isn't quite honest.

I haven't posted my review yet,, but I will add it. I read some reviews of it and nobody else mentioned as far as I could see and I'm a bit disappointed about that because that's the kind of information I want.

It's the kind of info a lot of us want.

Yes, Some extra material is fine, but not too much.

Do that! I think this is something that should be addressed more often.

I think is a good thing if more people brings things like this to light in reviews. I mean everyone can write about th story, but it's nice to know what you buy.
