I hated this book almost as much as his Portrait of an Artist. Or maybe I hated this one more. I can't remember anything good about either of them.

I remember liking 'Portrait', but that was in school when there was a group of us who could hash out what was going on a daily basis....I am not ready for Ulysses though, haha.

My mom said she read "Portrait" when she was in college, she didn't like it but didn't dislike it so nothing else of Joyce interested her.
