I really enjoyed this and the second book as well. I selfishly wish Ireland wasn't focusing so much on Middle Grade these days. I'd love to see more YA from her, but I can't begrudge her getting that sweet, sweet Star Wars tie-in money. (At least I hope it's sweet, sweet money. Pay up, Disney publishing division!)

I hope they pay well too. I've seen other authors, like Rebecca Roanhorse, supplement their income that way.

I have her SW book on my physical TBR. I've been really excited by the greater diversity in the SW publishing talent pool. It's nice to see more than just the same white dudes in the lineup.
