I read both. The Kindle just can't be beat for trying to read something like Infinite Jest, a huge book, and when properly formatted for the e-reader the numerous footnotes are no problem, actually easier than having two bookmarks and flopping back and forth. I love to collect books too but I like to read a lot so travel and just tooling around isn't practical with a bunch of weighty tomes, the e-reader makes it so much simpler and less weight and easier access where wifi is available. The last reason to get an e-reader is especially for book collectors. You're not going to throw that first edition Ray Bradbury in the back seat to read at the beach. You need an e-book reader copy!
