Dang, I want to read this one now, tho. I'd love some of that 1930s blustery Cornish atmosphere.

Just checked, my library has this one, The Cheltenham Murders, and Death on the Riviera. I just put a reserve on it. :)

I loved Death Of An Airman, by Sprigg. I know my credibility here is shaky, due to my fondness for Death In The Tunnel--but Death Of An Airman does not remind me of Death In The Tunnel.

I also liked Death in the Tunnel. It was a different BL'er (BT, maybe?) who was underwhelmed.

Yep, it was me who had problems with Death in the Tunnel, but that was a purely subjective thing about the main investigation. There were elements of the book that I liked, too. And I would happily pick up another Burton for a fun read.

If I didn't like it that much, it certainly is no reflection on anyone else's "credibility" or whatnot. Sometimes we like the same books, sometimes we don't. C'est la vie, n'est pas? (I hope you just heard that in Poirot's voice. ;) )
