Mrs. Summerhayes is one of a kind. And the cross references to her in "Cat Among the Pigeons" always make me smile (particularly, of course, the fact that Poirot considers the time he spent in her house not totally wasted because she came away from it all having learned to make a smashing omelette!)

There is much to love in Mrs McGinty's, even tho it is essentially Poirot's Best Of album.
